Why do I need to enter my business account details in Telstra Apps Marketplace?

Some of the services we’re moving over have been around for a while and we want to be sure we have the most up-to-date information and contact details.

 

Why do I need a Telstra Apps Marketplace account?

Telstra Apps Marketplace will give you access an updated version of your services’ management console (currently known as Mission Control). The Mission Control console version accessed via URL will eventually be decommissioned.

 

You’ll also be able to manage your services from Telstra Apps Marketplace, browse and buy the latest in business applications and look forward to a new suite of web and mail hosting products in 2017.

 

How do I set up my account?

  • You’ll receive an email with a link to activate your account
  • Click on the link in the email
  • Create a password
  • Enter your ABN
  • Accept the terms and conditions
  • Select ‘Create account’
  • Navigate to the billing section to enter your billing details

 

Which of my services are moving to Telstra Apps Marketplace?

If you have any of the following services, they’ll be moved:

  • BigPond Family Hosting
  • BigPond Premium Hosting
  • BigPond Webhosting
  • Telstra Business Online
  • Business Mail Extra -SMTP Mass Email
  • BigPond Premium Mail
  • Telstra Exchange Mail
  • Business Mail
  • Domain Name Registration

 

What are the available billing methods in Telstra Apps Marketplace?

The two modes of payment methods available in the marketplace are Telstra Bill (Telstra account) and credit card.

 

What credit cards are acceptable for use in Telstra Apps Marketplace?

Telstra Apps Marketplace accepts AMEX (including Corporate AMEX), Diner Club, Visa and MasterCard.

 

Will I be notified that I have successfully activated my account?

We’ll send an email confirmation from Telstra Apps Marketplace that your account has been activated.

 

When do I need to activate my Telstra Apps Marketplace account by?

You are required to activate your account by 10 March 2017.

 

How long does it take to complete my account details and activate?

It only takes a few minutes to complete your details and activate your account. Make sure you have your information handy before you start.

 

If I get stuck during the activation process, can I call someone?

Yes, you can contact us on 1800 878 483.

 

What if I want to cancel my service?

Please call 1800 002 609 and choose your plan option.

 

What if I don’t activate my account?

We’ll be unable to move your service/s over.

 

Can I start using Telstra Apps Marketplace account straight away?

Yes, after you've successfully activated your account, entered your ABN / billing details, you can browse and purchase products available in the marketplace. Your webhosting and mailbox services will be moved over late March (we’ll notify you in the coming weeks of a date for the move).

 

How do I log back in to Telstra Apps Marketplace?

To log back in use the email address we first contacted you with as your username. Your password is the one you create during the activation process. I you forget your password follow the “Forgot password?’ link.

 

What if I don’t have an ABN?

If you don’t have an ABN, we can’t move you to the Telstra Apps Marketplace. You’ll continue to use your services as you are using them today.

What is Telstra Apps Marketplace?

Telstra Apps Marketplace is a convenient online store, where you can purchase and manage your business applications. It’s also a single place to manage your cloud services, such as email and web hosting. You can choose from a range of great business apps like DocuSign, Box and the Microsoft Office 365 suite. Telstra Apps Marketplace offers the convenience of one bill for all its products and services.

Why is my service being moved?

What’s happening to my current management console?

Your existing console, called Mission Control, will eventually be decommissioned. Once you’ve signed into Telstra Apps Marketplace, you’ll enjoy access to updated versions of the console via the ‘My Apps' page.

 

When will my service move to Telstra Apps Marketplace?

A: We’re planning the move to occur in early 2017. Rest assured, we’ll notify you by email at least 30 days beforehand. The email will provide you with more details including dates and times.

 

Is there someone I can talk to about this change?

A: If you have questions, feel free to call us on 1800 878 483, and we’ll do our best to help. However, if you need support for your current services, please contact the usual channels until after the move.

 

Can I expect any service interruptions?

Rest assured, this change won’t cause any interruption to your service.

 

Why do I need to access Telstra Apps Marketplace?

So that you can make changes (e.g. add a mailbox), update your billing details or cancel your service. Please bear in mind that access to your existing Mission Control console, via the current URL, will be removed.

 

Do I have to move over to Telstra Apps Marketplace?

Yes, because your existing management console (Mission Control), accessed via URL, will be decommissioned.

 

Will I need to do anything prior to the move?

In most cases, you won’t be required to do anything. However, please make sure your contact and billing details are up to date in your current management console (Mission Control). This will ensure that our team can easily contact you, if required.

 

Will my plan name change?

Yes, some products will be changing. In future, the BigPond brand will no longer be included in any of our product names. We’ll let you know about any plan name updates, closer to the move in 2017.

 

Will my pricing be affected?

No, your current pricing won’t change because of the move to Telstra Apps Marketplace.

 

Will I be able to continue adding mailboxes, as per my current plan?

Yes, you’ll be able to add one or more mailboxes for services that offer this feature prior to the move.

 

Billing FAQs


Will my billing cycle change?

The start and end dates will be different. After the move your billing cycle will be from the first day to the last day of the month.

 

Will my billing date change?

If you pay via credit card you’ll be debited on the 1st of the month.

If you pay via a Telstra bill, the day you receive your bill won’t change. However, your charges will be processed around the 5th day of the month and so may appear on the following bill if you receive your bill prior to the 5th

 

I am existing Telstra Apps Marketplace customer. Will my billing arrangements change after the move?

Your migrating services will be merged with your existing TAM service and you’ll be billed as per your existing Telstra Apps Marketplace billing arrangements.

 

If you’re an existing Telstra Apps Marketplace customer

 

I already have an account on Telstra Apps Marketplace – how will this move affect my services?

A: Any accounts and services being moved will merge with your existing Telstra Apps Marketplace account. You'll then be able to access and manage everything from one location, with one login and one bill.

 

Will I be able to access the service that is being moved, via my existing Telstra Apps Marketplace login?

A: Yes. After the move, you’ll find the migrated services on the ‘MyApps’ page, along with your existing Telstra Apps Marketplace products and services.
